New "Pokémon" Series Begins November 17 in Japan, "Sword and Shield" Livestream Begins Friday at 6AM.

Hello everyone: while I regret I haven't been able to do as much as I've wanted lately, I do have some news regarding the series I'd like to share with you all. During today's latest Japanese episode of "Pokémon Sun and Moon," the latest season was revealed to begin on November 17 in Japan; two days after the launch of "Pokémon Sword and Shield" on Nintendo Switch. After much speculation, the series will retain Ash as the protagonist alongside Pikachu; with a new character named Go (voice of Yamashita Daiki, Izuku "Deku" Midoriya of "My Hero Academia") acting as deuteragonist alongside Scorbunny. In addition to featuring every region and monster from Kanto to Galar, the series has also been given a redesigned art style in a similar vein to some of the recent movies in the series. As someone who's often been skeptical of a proposed reboot and has enjoyed said movies, I am pleased to hear about this. Shinji Miyazaki will also be handing the reins of music composer to Hayashi Yuki (another alumnus from "My Hero Academia").

On that note, a livestream will be taking place on the series' official YouTube channel starting this Friday at 6AM with new information from the games ahead of their launch on November 15.  The stream will be taking place over 24 hours, set in the game area "Glimwood Tangle" and featuring some of the Pokémon that will inhabit the forest. Though specific kinds will likely not be known until the stream takes place, it has at least been confirmed that there will be existing monsters and potential reveals of new ones will be in the stream.

I will continue to work on more content for the near future, and with 46 days remaining to the release of "Pokémon Sword and Shield," I will bring you any new information as I get it. That will be all for now.
